↳ Day 12 → Favourite spirit animal
Chibi-Totoro, Chu-Totoro, and Oh-Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro. Do I really need to explain why the Totoro’s are my favourite? No, but I will regardless. Truthfully the Chu-Totoro is my favourite because asdfghjkl cute, but I decided to include the three because they are all equally perfect in the end. I guess, for me, this movie somewhat revolves around the magical world that surrounds us when we’re children. We grow up and forget our creative imaginations (to a degree), but in the back of our minds we always hold memories of some of the crazy things we did as children. The Totoro’s always remind me of my childhood - not because they were a part of my childhood, but because they remind me of the characters I created in my head and the adventures I went on when I was young. There is nothing in the world like being young and having the most vivid imagination; creating characters and diving into a world that is so completely real to you and yet so unrealistic to adults.
